Mirza Tazegül

Mirza Tazegül is a Turkish author and essayist whose novels and essays explore human psychology, social relationships, identity, loneliness, and personal transformation. He was born on 2 February 1965 in Kars, Türkiye, and grew up in Akyaka. The stories his father told sparked his interest in storytelling at an early age. He completed his secondary education and earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration in Istanbul. A lifelong reader and observer of people, Tazegül has a keen interest in psychology, sociology, and philosophy. He began sharing his writing on social media in 2016; his first book, Sessizliğimle Dans, was published that same year. It was followed by Yalnızlığın Bilinmeyen Yüzü, Hayalini Arayan Kadın, Kaybetmek, İnsan ve Maskesi, Şeytanın Sofrasında, and Zaman Kıskacı. His novels have been the subject of postgraduate research, academic articles, and university studies on narrative, time, space, and fiction. His book The Architect of Consciousness brings psychology, philosophy, and everyday life together in a guide focused on self-knowledge and personal growth. A father of two, Tazegül lives and writes in Izmir. He sums up his outlook on life in the words ‘Simplicity in life, grandeur in thought’.
